<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Es pretender emular, pero con el bolero, la hazaña de Augusto Monterroso y Bárbara Jacobs de elaborar una Antología del cuento triste. Porque, para ser un tanto conservador, el 90% de los boleros son tristes, aluden al desamor y la traición.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Pienso que se trata de un ejercicio subjetivo establecer cuáles son los diez mejores boleros compuestos por los dominicanos. Debo aclarar que esta selección jamás será definitiva, una verdad absoluta.</p>

Partiendo del contenido de sus letras y la gran legión de artistas nacionales e internacionales que lo han incluido en sus repertorios.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Hay quienes sostienen que el verdadero himno, la canción dominicana por excelencia, es <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooG0bVfUIS0" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“Primavera para el mundo”</strong></a>, del fenecido publicista y poeta René del Risco Bermúdez. Le doy el segundo lugar.</p>

Alcanzó gran popularidad en la República Dominicana y Latinoamérica en voz del chileno Lucho Gatica (Luis Enrique Gatica Silva, 1928-2018). Lo considero un gran bolero y por ese motivo lo coloco en tercer lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">En varias ocasiones me he referido a este bolero de José Antonio Rodríguez, quien fuera ministro de Cultura en el gobierno de Danilo Medina, y no deja de sorprenderme cada vez que lo escucho, por la calidad y profundidad de sus letras. Me refiero a “Como un bolero”, que viene a ocupar el cuarto lugar en mi top.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Fue interpretado y popularizado por la española Ana Belén (María del Pilar Cuesta Acosta) y posteriormente grabado por su compatriota Julio Iglesias. Me refiero a<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaqSI1jzbCQ" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700"> “Derroche”</strong></a> de Manuel Jiménez. Por su belleza lírica y la popularidad que ha alcanzado en el mundo de habla hispana ocupa el quinto lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Definitivamente que Mario de Jesús Báez, nacido en 1924 y fallecido en México en 2008, es el compositor dominicano más importante y prolifero del país. Sus composiciones han sido extensamente grabadas por grandes boleristas internacionales.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHcYzZTGZUA" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“Ayúdame Dios mío</strong></a>”, una de sus canciones, viene a ocupar el sexto lugar en este ranking. El tenor y barítono Plácido Domingo, Javier Solís, Tamara, María Elena Sandoval, son algunos de los artistas que incluyeron esta hermosa canción en su repertorio.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">El Trío Los Panchos la hizo suya y la popularizó en los lugares por donde paseó su fama. Se trata de un bolero de hermosas letras, compuesto por el santiaguero Juan Lockward, y alude al amor imposible entre un hombre y una mujer casados. Tremendo <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSWooqmj8Mk" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“Dilema”</strong> </a>que va al séptimo lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Debo confesar que me sorprendió cuando me enteré que esta canción había sido compuesta por un dominicano y me refiero a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXRCk5lOIY8" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“No me conoces”,</strong> </a>escrita por Fernando Arias y magistralmente interpretada por Marc Anthony (Marco Antonio Muñiz Rivera). No pude resistirme a colocarla en el ranking en la posición ocho.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Cruelmente el COVID-19 nos lo arrebató el 16 de julio del 2020, apagando unas de las voces más tiernas a la hora de cantar bolero o son en el país. Víctor José Víctor Rojas, el Víctor Víctor de los sones y boleros, siempre tocando la maraca, nos legó uno de las canciones más hermosas a mi humilde juicio y se trata de “La casita” o “El camino de los amantes”.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Además del inolvidable Víctico, “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p93oDGEpnV0" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">El camino de los amantes”</strong></a> lo interpretó El Bolerista de América, Felipe Pirela (Felipe Antonio Pirela Morón, 1940-1972).</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Terminó esta selección, complicada por demás, con Chiquitín Payán (Pedro María Payán Duluc”, fallecido a los 93 años, el 7 de septiembre de 2010, y el bolero “Por Culpa tuya”, que popularizara el inmenso Colás (Nicolás Casimiro) y Anthony Ríos.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Particularmente para mí es una tarea ardua, difícil, escoger solamente 10 boleros de la extensa producción de canciones compuestas por dominicanos. Me deja un amargo sabor a culpabilidad dejar fuera boleros como “Adelante” (Mario de Jesús), “Guitarra bohemia” (Juan Lockward), “Tú me hace falta” (Armando Cabrera), “Casita de Campo” (Enriquillo Sánchez) y “Mi dulce querer” (Bullumba Landestoy).</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 16px; font-family: "Source Sans Pro"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 1.6 !important;">Además, “Solo quiero decirte que te quiero” (Juan José Ayuso), “Que se mueran de envidia” y “Ese bolero es mío” (Mario de Jesús), “Aunque me cueste la vida” (Luis Kalaff) y “Cada vez otra vez” (Leonor Porchela de Brea).</p>

Le doy el segundo lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teQoz3MAnr4" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;">“Y”</a> es una de esos boleros de la autoría de Mario de Jesús cuya mención se hace obligado, por tener el récord de ser la canción con el título más corto de la historia, y por su belleza. Alcanzó gran popularidad en la República Dominicana y Latinoamérica en voz del chileno Lucho Gatica (Luis Enrique Gatica Silva, 1928-2018). Lo considero un gran bolero y por ese motivo lo coloco en tercer lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">En varias ocasiones me he referido a este bolero de José Antonio Rodríguez, quien fuera ministro de Cultura en el gobierno de Danilo Medina, y no deja de sorprenderme cada vez que lo escucho, por la calidad y profundidad de sus letras. Me refiero a “Como un bolero”, que viene a ocupar el cuarto lugar en mi top.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Fue interpretado y popularizado por la española Ana Belén (María del Pilar Cuesta Acosta) y posteriormente grabado por su compatriota Julio Iglesias. Me refiero a<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaqSI1jzbCQ" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700"> “Derroche”</strong></a> de Manuel Jiménez. Por su belleza lírica y la popularidad que ha alcanzado en el mundo de habla hispana ocupa el quinto lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Definitivamente que Mario de Jesús Báez, nacido en 1924 y fallecido en México en 2008, es el compositor dominicano más importante y prolifero del país. Sus composiciones han sido extensamente grabadas por grandes boleristas internacionales.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHcYzZTGZUA" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“Ayúdame Dios mío</strong></a>”, una de sus canciones, viene a ocupar el sexto lugar en este ranking. El tenor y barítono Plácido Domingo, Javier Solís, Tamara, María Elena Sandoval, son algunos de los artistas que incluyeron esta hermosa canción en su repertorio.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">El Trío Los Panchos la hizo suya y la popularizó en los lugares por donde paseó su fama. Se trata de un bolero de hermosas letras, compuesto por el santiaguero Juan Lockward, y alude al amor imposible entre un hombre y una mujer casados. Tremendo <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSWooqmj8Mk" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“Dilema”</strong> </a>que va al séptimo lugar.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Debo confesar que me sorprendió cuando me enteré que esta canción había sido compuesta por un dominicano y me refiero a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXRCk5lOIY8" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">“No me conoces”,</strong> </a>escrita por Fernando Arias y magistralmente interpretada por Marc Anthony (Marco Antonio Muñiz Rivera). No pude resistirme a colocarla en el ranking en la posición ocho.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Cruelmente el COVID-19 nos lo arrebató el 16 de julio del 2020, apagando unas de las voces más tiernas a la hora de cantar bolero o son en el país. Víctor José Víctor Rojas, el Víctor Víctor de los sones y boleros, siempre tocando la maraca, nos legó uno de las canciones más hermosas a mi humilde juicio y se trata de “La casita” o “El camino de los amantes”.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Además del inolvidable Víctico, “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p93oDGEpnV0" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(90, 107, 168); text-decoration-line: none; pointer-events: auto;"><strong style="box-sizing:border-box; font-weight:700">El camino de los amantes”</strong></a> lo interpretó El Bolerista de América, Felipe Pirela (Felipe Antonio Pirela Morón, 1940-1972).</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Terminó esta selección, complicada por demás, con Chiquitín Payán (Pedro María Payán Duluc”, fallecido a los 93 años, el 7 de septiembre de 2010, y el bolero “Por Culpa tuya”, que popularizara el inmenso Colás (Nicolás Casimiro) y Anthony Ríos.</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Particularmente para mí es una tarea ardua, difícil, escoger solamente 10 boleros de la extensa producción de canciones compuestas por dominicanos. Me deja un amargo sabor a culpabilidad dejar fuera boleros como “Adelante” (Mario de Jesús), “Guitarra bohemia” (Juan Lockward), “Tú me hace falta” (Armando Cabrera), “Casita de Campo” (Enriquillo Sánchez) y “Mi dulce querer” (Bullumba Landestoy).</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Además, “Solo quiero decirte que te quiero” (Juan José Ayuso), “Que se mueran de envidia” y “Ese bolero es mío” (Mario de Jesús), “Aunque me cueste la vida” (Luis Kalaff) y “Cada vez otra vez” (Leonor Porchela de Brea).</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 1.6 !important;">Mi recomendación: haga usted la selección de su gusto, pero este viernes bohemio no se prive de escuchar estos buenos boleros, que en definitiva son de mi predilección. ¡Salud</p>
